wind sprints
Short fast runs
Wind sprints are short bursts of all-out running repeated with brief rest intervals between them.
Athletes use them to build speed, explosive power, and cardiovascular endurance.
The sprints are typically 40 to 100 yards, with the runner returning to the starting point to recover before the next effort: Coach made us run wind sprints until we couldn't stand.
