whole numbers

No fractional parts

Whole numbers are the non-negative integers: zero and the positive counting numbers (1, 2, 3, and so on).

The term distinguishes these from fractions, decimals, and negative numbers.

In casual use, whole number often just means a number without a fractional part: Round to the nearest whole number.

Some definitions exclude zero, counting only from one.
