ordinality
First, second, third
Ordinality is the property of being ordered in a sequence—first, second, third, and so on.
The term appears in mathematics, linguistics, and philosophy to distinguish position in a series from mere quantity.
Cardinal numbers tell you how many; ordinal numbers tell you which one in a sequence.
The ordinality of the data matters when ranking preferences.
