wet sand
Moldable coastal ground
Wet sand is sand saturated with water, as found at the shoreline where waves wash over the beach.
It packs firmly underfoot and holds shapes well—ideal for building sandcastles.
The term also describes an intermediate stage in automotive painting or woodworking, where surfaces are sanded with water to achieve a smoother finish.
