tidal zone
Between high, low
The tidal zone is the coastal area between high and low tide marks, alternately submerged and exposed as tides rise and fall.
Also called the intertidal zone, it hosts organisms adapted to both aquatic and terrestrial conditions: Tide pools form in the tidal zone.
The term extends to any region affected by tidal movement.
