subscribing

Opting into regularly

Subscribing is committing to receive something regularly—a magazine, a streaming service, a newsletter.

You subscribe by signing up and often by paying: I've been subscribing to that channel for years.

The older sense means to sign one's name to a document, endorsing or agreeing to it.

To subscribe to a belief or theory is to accept or support it: I don't subscribe to that view.
