active user
Currently using someone
An active user is someone who engages with a product, service, or platform within a specified time period.
The term is standard in tech and business contexts, where companies track daily active users (DAUs) or monthly active users (MAUs) as metrics of engagement: The app has twelve million monthly active users.
What counts as "active" varies—it might mean logging in, making a purchase, or any recorded interaction.
