vogueing

Striking angular poses

Vogueing is a stylized form of dance that emerged from Black and Latino gay ballroom culture, characterized by angular poses, dramatic arm movements, and model-like runway walks.

Dancers strike poses inspired by fashion photography, often in competitive "voguing battles" at balls: She was vogueing on the dance floor.

Also spelled voguing.
