vodcasts
Downloadable video episodes
Vodcasts are video podcasts—episodic video content distributed online for streaming or download.
The term blends video with podcast, distinguishing video series from audio-only podcasts: I subscribe to several vodcasts about cooking techniques.
The word gained currency in the mid-2000s but has largely been displaced by "video podcast" or simply "podcast" as video content became standard.
