radio shows

Radio shows are programs broadcast over radio, encompassing entertainment, news, music, drama, and talk formats.

The term evokes an earlier era when families gathered around the radio for serialized dramas, comedies, and variety programs: My grandmother still talks about the radio shows she listened to as a child.

Though largely supplanted by television and podcasts, radio shows persist in talk radio, public broadcasting, and internet streaming.
