ejaculation
Abrupt vocal release
Ejaculation has two distinct meanings.
The older sense, now somewhat dated, refers to a sudden exclamation or outcry, especially a short prayer or emotional utterance: His ejaculations of surprise startled the room.
The more common modern meaning is the discharge of semen from the male reproductive organs during orgasm.
The verb ejaculate covers both senses, though the exclamatory use now risks unintended double entendre and is largely avoided.
