turtlehead

Pink wetland flower

Turtlehead is a North American wildflower whose blossoms resemble a turtle's head with its mouth open.

The plants grow in wet areas and bloom in late summer.

Turtlehead is also crude slang for the urgent sensation when a bowel movement is imminent and partially emerging: I need a bathroom now—I'm turtleheading.
