truing
Correcting a wobble
Truing is the process of making something true—that is, straight, level, or properly aligned.
A mechanic trues a bicycle wheel by adjusting the spokes until it spins without wobbling.
A carpenter trues a board by planing it flat.
The spelling *trueing* also appears.
The wheel needs truing after that pothole.
