tractor beams
Sci-fi capture rays
Tractor beams are fictional technology in science fiction—invisible rays that pull objects toward their source.
A spacecraft uses a tractor beam to capture another vessel or draw in cargo: The enemy ship locked onto us with a tractor beam.
The concept appears throughout the genre, from Star Trek to video games, representing remote attractive force.
