topo
Hiker's terrain chart
Topo is informal for a topographic map—one showing terrain features like elevation, contours, and landforms.
Hikers, climbers, and outdoor enthusiasts study topos to plan routes: I picked up a topo of the canyon at the ranger station.
In climbing specifically, a topo is a diagram showing a route up a rock face with its features and difficulty ratings.
