tom-toms
Deep-pitched hand drums
Tom-toms are drums, typically cylindrical with two heads, played with the hands or sticks.
The term originally referred to drums used in Asian and African music, but now commonly describes the mid-sized drums mounted on a drum kit between the snare and bass drum: The drummer filled the break with rapid tom-tom rolls.
