Takedowns are acts of forcibly bringing someone or something down.
In wrestling and martial arts, a takedown is a move that brings an opponent to the ground.
Online, a takedown is the removal of content, often for legal reasons: The video was removed after a copyright takedown.
A takedown can also be a pointed criticism or exposé that damages someone's reputation: The magazine published a devastating takedown of the senator.
