stereopair
Two matching photographs
A stereopair is two photographs of the same scene taken from slightly different angles, mimicking the separation between human eyes.
When viewed together through a stereoscope or with the right technique, the images fuse into a single three-dimensional picture.
The format is used in aerial surveying, medical imaging, and vintage stereograph cards: The geologist examined the stereopair to map terrain features.
