A spoke-shave is a small hand tool for shaping curved wooden surfaces, consisting of a blade set between two handles.
Originally used by wheelwrights to shape spokes, it remains essential for woodworkers crafting chair legs, boat paddles, and other rounded forms: He smoothed the curved seat with a spoke-shave.
