speech writing
Composing spoken remarks
Speech writing is the craft of composing texts meant to be delivered aloud—political addresses, wedding toasts, eulogies, corporate presentations.
Good speech writing accounts for rhythm, cadence, and the speaker's voice, since what reads well on paper may sound stilted when spoken: She hired someone for speech writing because her ideas were solid but her delivery needed help.
