snow-blind

Ice-reflection vision loss

Snow-blind describes temporary vision impairment caused by bright sunlight reflecting off snow or ice.

The intense glare overwhelms the eyes, causing pain, blurred vision, and sometimes temporary blindness.

Skiers and mountaineers wear dark goggles to prevent becoming snow-blind.

The condition is also called snow blindness.
