small forward
Versatile basketball position
A small forward is a basketball position, typically the most versatile player on the court.
Smaller than power forwards and centers but often taller than guards, small forwards combine scoring ability with defensive range.
They're expected to contribute in multiple ways—shooting, rebounding, and ball handling: LeBron James redefined the small forward position.
