point guard
Court's lead orchestrator
A point guard is the player on a basketball team who directs the offense, typically handling the ball most often and setting up plays.
Usually the smallest player on the court, the point guard prioritizes passing and court vision over scoring: She's been the starting point guard since her sophomore year.
The position is sometimes called "the one."
