skin tags

Harmless fleshy nubs

Skin tags are small, soft, benign growths that hang from the skin by a thin stalk.

They typically appear where skin rubs against skin or clothing—neck, armpits, groin, eyelids.

Medically harmless but sometimes removed for cosmetic reasons or if they catch on jewelry or clothing: The dermatologist froze off my skin tags.
