sea-turtles
Flippered ocean reptiles
Sea-turtles is the plural of sea-turtle, a large marine turtle that spends nearly its entire life in the ocean.
Unlike their freshwater and land relatives, sea-turtles have flippers rather than feet and return to land only to nest.
Seven species exist, all threatened or endangered: We watched sea-turtles lay eggs on the beach.
