creation myths
How everything began
Creation myths are traditional narratives explaining how the world, humanity, or the universe came into being.
Nearly every culture has them—from Genesis to the Big Bang to tales of cosmic eggs or primordial waters.
The term often implies the story is symbolic rather than literally true, which is why calling someone's beliefs a creation myth can give offense.
