screen printing

Ink through mesh

Screen printing is a technique for applying ink to a surface by pressing it through a mesh screen with a stencil blocking certain areas.

The method works on fabric, paper, glass, and other materials, producing bold, durable images.

T-shirts are commonly screen printed.

Also called silk screening, from when the mesh was silk.
