saucing

Pouring gravy over

Saucing is adding sauce to food, or more figuratively, adding flavor or spice to something: She was saucing the pasta when the guests arrived.

In slang, saucing often means drinking alcohol, especially getting drunk: We were saucing pretty hard last night.

It can also mean showing off or being cocky—adding sauce in the swagger sense.
