rewound

Took tape back

Rewound is the past tense and past participle of rewind.

To rewind is to wind something back to an earlier point—originally tape in a cassette or reel: I rewound the VHS to watch that scene again.

The term persists for digital media even without physical tape: She rewound the podcast thirty seconds.
