rewind button
Go back switch
A rewind button reverses playback on audio or video devices, returning to an earlier point in the recording.
The symbol—two triangles pointing left—originated on tape players and persists on digital interfaces.
Hit the rewind button to hear that part again.
Figuratively, to push the rewind button is to revisit or undo something: I wish I could hit rewind on that conversation.
