return key
Ends a paragraph
The return key on a keyboard moves the cursor to the beginning of a new line, mimicking the carriage return on typewriters.
In text entry, it creates a line break; in forms and dialogs, it typically submits input or confirms an action.
Also called the enter key, though some keyboards have both with slightly different functions.
