refracture
Bone breaks twice
To refracture is to break again something that had previously broken and healed, or to deliberately break a bone that healed improperly so it can be reset correctly.
The term appears most often in medical contexts: The surgeon had to refracture the femur to realign it.
As a noun, a refracture is such a repeat break.
