pull request

Proposed code changes

A pull request is a proposal to merge code changes into a shared repository.

The developer who made changes requests that the project maintainer "pull" their code into the main codebase.

Pull requests allow review and discussion before integration: I submitted a pull request but it's been sitting there for weeks.

Common in collaborative software development, especially on platforms like GitHub.

Often abbreviated PR.
