pull-down

Retractable screen interface

A pull-down is a menu or list that appears when you click on it, dropping down from its header to reveal options: Select your country from the pull-down.

The term comes from graphical user interfaces where menus literally pull down from a menu bar.

As an adjective, it describes things designed to be pulled downward: a pull-down shade, a pull-down bed that folds into the wall.
