A publicity tour is a scheduled series of appearances—interviews, readings, signings, talk show spots—designed to promote a book, film, album, or other product.
The person being promoted travels from city to city or outlet to outlet, generating media coverage: The author's publicity tour took her to twelve cities in two weeks.
