fan meetup
Devotees convene together
A fan meetup is an organized gathering where fans of a particular celebrity, band, show, or franchise meet in person—sometimes with the object of their fandom present, sometimes just with each other.
These events range from informal get-togethers at coffee shops to ticketed conventions: I'm going to a fan meetup for the band next month.
The term emphasizes the community aspect of fandom.
