protective order
Court-ordered separation mandate
A protective order is a court order that restricts contact between parties, typically to protect someone from harassment, abuse, or stalking.
Also called a restraining order, it may prohibit an individual from approaching, contacting, or coming within a certain distance of another person: She filed for a protective order against her ex-husband.
Violation can result in arrest.
In legal proceedings, a protective order may also limit disclosure of sensitive information during discovery.
