visitation rights
Scheduled parental time
Visitation rights are the legally established times when a noncustodial parent may spend time with their child after divorce or separation.
Courts grant visitation to maintain the parent-child relationship while the child lives primarily with the other parent: He has visitation rights every other weekend.
The term also applies to grandparents or others granted court-ordered access to a child.
