parallelograms
Four-sided slanted shapes
Parallelograms is the plural of parallelogram, a four-sided figure whose opposite sides are parallel and equal in length.
Rectangles, squares, and rhombuses are all parallelograms.
The term appears in geometry classes and occasionally in descriptions of shapes: The tiles were arranged in parallelograms.
