pan flutes
Graduated reed pipes
Pan flutes are a wind instrument made of graduated tubes bound together, played by blowing across the open ends.
Each tube produces a different pitch based on its length.
The instrument appears across many cultures—from Andean music to ancient Greece, where mythology connected it to the god Pan.
Also called panpipes.
