OCD
Intrusive thoughts disorder
OCD stands for obsessive-compulsive disorder, a mental health condition characterized by intrusive, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors performed to relieve anxiety (compulsions).
In casual use, OCD loosely describes anyone who is very particular or meticulous: I'm a little OCD about keeping my desk organized.
This informal usage irritates those with the clinical condition.
