suckler
Milk-fed young one
A suckler is an animal that is still nursing—feeding on its mother's milk.
The term applies especially to young livestock: The farmer separated the sucklers from the weaned calves.
Less commonly, suckler refers to the one doing the nursing rather than the one being nursed.
