nerve center

Operations control point

A nerve center is a point from which a system is controlled or coordinated.

The term comes from anatomy, where nerve centers are clusters of neurons that regulate bodily functions, but it's used more often figuratively: The trading floor is the nerve center of the financial district.

Any headquarters or command post where decisions are made and information flows can be called a nerve center.
