necromancers
Raisers of dead
Necromancers are practitioners of necromancy, a form of magic or sorcery that involves communicating with or raising the dead, typically to divine the future or gain forbidden knowledge.
In fantasy fiction and games, necromancers are often villains who command armies of undead creatures or steal life force from the living.
The term carries dark connotations of forbidden arts and transgression against natural order.
The necromancer raised skeletal warriors from the ancient battlefield.
