mud bricks
Earthen building material
Mud bricks are building blocks made from a mixture of earth, water, and often straw or other binding materials, shaped and dried in the sun rather than fired in a kiln.
One of humanity's oldest construction materials, mud bricks remain common in arid regions where they provide natural insulation: The village homes were built of mud bricks.
Also called adobe or sun-dried bricks.
