moon base
Satellite settlement site
A moon base is a permanent or semi-permanent human installation on the lunar surface.
The term appears in science fiction and space exploration planning, suggesting a facility for research, resource extraction, or as a stepping stone to deeper space: NASA's plans for a moon base have been delayed for decades.
Also called a lunar base.
