thermal control
Temperature regulation system
Thermal control is the regulation of temperature within a system—keeping equipment, environments, or processes within acceptable heat ranges.
The term appears most often in engineering contexts: spacecraft require thermal control to survive extreme temperature swings, and electronics need it to prevent overheating.
The satellite's thermal control system failed, causing permanent damage to its sensors.
