Mars base
Red planet settlement
A Mars base is a proposed or hypothetical human settlement on the planet Mars—a permanent or semi-permanent installation where people could live and work.
The term appears frequently in discussions of space exploration, science fiction, and long-term plans for human expansion beyond Earth: SpaceX has outlined ambitious timelines for establishing a Mars base.
The concept ranges from modest research outposts to self-sustaining colonies.
