mixed marriage
Interfaith or interracial wedding
A mixed marriage is a marriage between people of different races, religions, or ethnicities.
The term was once applied primarily to interracial unions and carried strong disapproval in many contexts.
Today it appears in discussions of interfaith couples as often as interracial ones: Their mixed marriage meant celebrating both Christmas and Hanukkah.
The phrase has become less common as such unions have become more accepted.
