Prophesied golden age
Millennialism is the belief in a coming thousand-year period of peace and righteousness, usually tied to Christ's return in Christian theology.
More broadly, it describes any belief in an approaching age of radical transformation or perfection—secular movements promising utopia share this structure: His politics had a millennialist flavor, promising total renewal.
